New Colortopia Exhibit Officially Opens at Epcot (PHOTOS)

As we recently reported on this site, "Colortopia" (an interactive exhibit located inside Innoventions East) soft-opened just a few days ago at Epcot.
The test-and-adjust period has officially ended, making this attraction available to all Guests visiting the park from opening until 7 p.m. Inside, Guests will be able to engage in multiple interactive activities that will show the true power of color and how it can have an effect on how we perceive the things around us.

While we have not had the chance to take a video of this new addition yet, our photographer Alex was able to capture some photos showing the colorful rooms included in this experience. Take a look:

The Power of Color Theater is the first stop. In this specially developed theater, Guests can enjoy a short presentation that explores the psychology of color by immersing them in a full spectrum of colors:

Notice how the lights surrounding the theater change:

A look inside the theater:

In The Color Lab, Guests can play Color Mix ‘n Match by mixing colors to create new ones:

Another interactive station, Spinning Spectrums, allows Guests to try to guess what color their eyes will perceive once the multi-colored disks start to spin. This creates very interesting patterns:

Color Our World” – In the preshow area, Guests can play with fun color shadows before they receive a magic paint brush. In the studio, Guests use the magic paint brushes to bring the world around them to life through their personal color choices.

Here you are the interactive brushes:

The paint brushes can be used to virtually paint over an existing drawing:

And that is all for now. Be sure to stay tuned here on OTPN for a video of the full Colortopia experience.

  1. I experienced this today. The first room shows colors in full vibrancy. If you are light sensitive have sunglasses on hand as I found it difficult to enjoy. That said the exhibit was really interesting and the paintbrushes were really cool. I may check this out again but I'll probably skip the first part due to light sensitivity issues.
