Disney Springs Project News (June and July 2014)

As the Downtown Disney area continues to receive attention due to the on-going Disney Springs project, more changes and refurbishments (including permanent closures) will continue to take place around property. Make sure to take note of the following updates, as they could impact in the way you enjoy the restaurants, shops, and entertainment locations in the area. Here you are some of the changes and projects that will start in the next few weeks or that have already begun:

Note that the length of these refurbishments may vary due to external causes (i.e. adverse weather):
  • Ring Stage and the nearby bar are now closed, to make way for the AMC and Planet Hollywood area development work on the West Side. Roaming talent continues near this location as an alternate entertainment offering.
  • Joffrey’s on the West Side is closed temporarily until later this summer.
  • The Margarita Bar is closed in the Marketplace, but a new location will open in the future as the project continues.
  • July 6 is the last day of operation for the Pearl Factory in the Marketplace, as it will temporarily close for a few weeks.
We will continue to share updates as the progress continues. Stay tuned. As always, thanks for following us.

  1. Will there be an update with the new co-op and the new Starbucks area?
