Animal Kingdom Update: Discovery Island News (PART 1)


Welcome to our newest photo-report, Orlando Theme Park News Readers!
Today we are going to take a look around Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to check out on the progress being done in the various areas that are currently under construction (except the new Harambe Theater area. We will cover that particular section of the park in a separate update). So, without wasting any time, let us embark on this virtual tour of this beautiful park:

  1. The new 'wing' of Harambe really opens the area up. Looks much more relaxing, I'll see how it feels up close and personal like in the fall.

    Sadly, I think as AK prepares for night time activities, I think we might see more hard edges (fences more obvious etc) for crowd control. My other tiny fear is that the riverside might become a little too hard edged as well, less organic - again for crowd control and river show watching.

    But, one never knows, so I'm certainly not losing any sleep over it!
