RUMOR: Reopening of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park Delayed, Announcement Expected Tomorrow

Back in mid-September, the Walt Disney World Resort seemed to be very close to finally being ready to announce a reopening date for Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, which has been closed for an extensive refurbishment since January 2022.

While crews have been working hard to get the park ready to reopen by the end of October, numerous issues impacted the location over the past few weeks, including damages caused by Hurricane Ian and construction-related problems; that being said, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is still expected to reopen before the end of the year, most likely in November.

According to recent rumors, there's a possibility that Disney may finally make an official announcement tomorrow (Tuesday, October 25, 2022), but that has NOT been confirmed by the Walt Disney World Resort. Keep in mind that plans may change again due to the aforementioned issues.

When the announcement is made, Guests will be able to learn more about the changes that were introduced during the latest refurbishment, including:
  1. A new conveyor belt transporting tubes to the top of the mountain (or close to the top)
  2. The introduction of character statues from one of Disney's most popular animated movies
  3. The addition of more Polar Patios.
