Islands of Adventure Update: Select Attractions Temporarily Closed (PART 1)

Just a few weeks ago, the Universal Orlando Resort officially confirmed that select attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure would temporarily close to Guests. Poseidon's Fury: Escape from the Lost City and Storm Force Accelatron are the two Islands of Adventure attractions that are currently closed until further notice.

Today, we will show you around the park to see what's new since our last visit. While there are currently less attractions for Guests to experience, an all-new roller coaster will soon be added to the already stellar attraction lineup of Universal's Islands of Adventure, and work continues at a very fast pace. Let's take a look!

The new coaster can be spotted from almost every theme land within the park:

A custom-painted name art kiosk can now be found near the main entrance of Marvel Superhero Island:

Let's take a quick look around the land:

Of course, our main focus remains the new roller coaster:

Toon Lagoon is next:

One of the best areas to take a closer look at the Jurassic Park-theme coaster is Sweethaven:

Moving on:

A small section of the pathway near Camp Jurassic is currently behind walls:

Notice the massive rockwork that will soon surround some of the coaster's supports:

Earlier today, crews begin installing the first section of the new electrified fence that will separate the coaster from the Guest pathway. Sadly, we weren't there to see them, but we will be back soon!
