Dog-Friendly Resort Test Continues at Select Walt Disney World Hotels

The Walt Disney World Resort recently announced that the company is still evaluating the dog-friendly pilot in previously designated areas at four selected Walt Disney World Resort hotels. As of now, there are no changes to this program, which remains available at approximately 250 hotel rooms representing about 1 percent of our total hotel inventory.

These designated dog-friendly rooms will continue to be available at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (click here to learn more). Additionally, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will remain pet friendly at the campsites and cabins.

While dogs will be allowed to stay in designated Guest rooms, according to the Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules, they will not be allowed in theme parks or other public areas, such as restaurants, pools and recreation spaces. Only service animals are allowed in these areas. Pets will be expected to be leashed, well behaved, and properly vaccinated.
