Removal of Conveyor Structure Used to Shift Soil to Hollywood Studios to Be Removed Soon

As part of the major expansion of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a temporary conveyor structure was installed over World Drive to shift soil across the road and into the park. The dirt transported to the park was used as part of the construction of the new Toy Story- and Star Wars-themed lands. 


In order to remove the conveyor structure, the park's main entrance off World Drive/Osceola Parkway will be temporary closed overnight April 16-18, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. to avoid impacting Guests. Note that this work is subject to change pending unforeseen conditions such as weather.


It is currently unclear whether the section of the conveyor structure seen below will also be removed during that time or if it will be removed later on (it might require the partial closure of that portion of World Drive):
