Pangani Forest Exploration Trail Name Changing May 27

The gorilla habitat has always been one of the most popular animal encounters at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Because of that, the park is renaming Pangani Forest Exploration Trail to Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail (which was the original name of the trail when it opened back in 1998) beginning Memorial Day weekend. This is just a name change, and Guests can still expect to see some of their favorite animal species including hippos, meercats, zebras, and more.

The May 27 edition of the Animal Kingdom guidemap will feature Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail as the official name of the attraction. The in-park signage will be updated in stages over a period of time, with hopes to complete all transitions to Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail by late summer 2016.
