Disney's Hollywood Studios Tip Board to Be Removed

The Tip Board of Disney's Hollywood Studios (a board showing the current attraction wait times, located at Hollywood Junction) will be removed in the next few days. Guest Relations and MyMagic+ Cast will continue to assist Guests.
This was one of the very last Tip Boards still operating at the Walt Disney World Resort, as most of them (including the ones found at the Magic Kingdom Park and  Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park) were removed some months ago.

  1. From what I am reading maybe they should just close that park? Was my Favorite but it so ripped apart it is now a 1/4 day park.

    1. Never fear, in a few months' time it'll be a 1/8-day park, but you'll still pay the same price to visit it as you would for Epcot ;) And people will still pay it, thus making the lines for the five remaining attractions long enough to force guests to spend an entire day there.

  2. Removing the tip board will let them keep closing attractions.

  3. Before Disney removes the tips boards from any location they should fix their wifi in the parks. They're assuming everyone is connected and able to see what they need to see when they want to see it. Over the last 2 weeks we found the wifi to be 50/50 between excellent and barely connected at all.

  4. Wifi Problems???
Maybe they should not have laid off those I.T. people that helped install it.

  5. I'm not sure why people STILL insist on complaining that another thing is closing. We all know this park is receiving a necessary refurbishment but do you absolutely have to continue to complain? The Walt Disney World Resort hasn't seen this type of large scale refurbishment ever!

I'm sure we'll know very soon at the D23 Expo next month but guests will have to continue to have patience. Yes, this park is now a half-a-day entertainment choice but once this expansion is completed it'll be well worth the wait.

    1. All we know is ideas and dollar amounts (2.8) billion roughly
...you clearly don't remember how much they can waste. Let me remind you. New Fantasyland little mermaid cost more than forbidden journey.....so a carbon copy D ticket cost more than a first in the world cutting edge main attraction?

    2. Agree. This is actually my fav park. Went after the tram ride closed and still enjoyed the 4 or 5 rides. As is thjs is the best adult entertainment disney has in its parks.

  6. I'm happy with a lot of stuff closing,
if it means a renewal of the park,
and hopefully a more cohesive theming.

My hope is that a lot of these old buildings will be torn down and the areas more organized and thematically consistent with a revitalized park.

As long as they don't touch Jim Henson's Muppets 3D.
    EVER.

    1. Dont know if your serious but muppets could be updated never replaces. Disney needs muppets in dhs and maybe epcot in some way.

  7. Muppets is next on the chopping block.. They are going to need that area for expansion.

  8. I always thought the tip board was pointless just at the park entrance. A big company like Disney should have electronic info boards in every area which tells guests current queue times and closed rides.

  9. I never once used those boards so I don't care. I have a cell phone so wifi isn't important as I can view wait times without wifi and it doesn't use up much data. You have to tear down before you build up, so there will be MANY closing a coming soon, including Muppets. Perhaps they could relocate Muppets to the Captain Eo building in Epcot, and remaster it for digital projection while they're at it. Not likely of course.

Anyway I'm looking forward to the new DHS (or whatever they'll call it), even if it takes 5 years to get there.

Finally, as for comparing Little Mermaid to Gringotts, not exactly the same target audience, and LM had A LOT more theming outdoors that is very expensive, even if the ride itself is boring to adults (again, not the target audience). If you prefer Gringotts, go to Universal not Disney. ;-)
