Magic Kingdom Hub Update: "Partners" Return (PART 2)

Welcome to the second part of our latest photo-report covering the central hub of the Magic Kingdom Park. Be sure to also check out PART 1 by clicking here.
In the previous part, we took a look at the southern portion of the hub (where most of the work has finally been completed), then we moved on to the northern portion, including the central plaza. Let's continue to take a look around and check out the progress that has been done since our last visit to the park.

One more photo of the new castle towers:

New shelter that will include a water fountain:

The area is really becoming very beautiful:

An artwork depicting the expanded hub was recently installed on the temporary walls:

Interesting entertainment choice...

Moving on to the wets side:

The second themed shelter continues to take shape:

The back of some of the Main Street buildings visible from the new bypass still needs to be themed:

  1. With all the new trees that have been planted throughout the hub, I would assume that the "big ugly wall" in the very last photo in your update, will eventually have some trees to disguise it. The fact that this gate is probably used by heavy equipment during the rehab process is probably why this area will be the very last to be completed......At least that's my hope!

  2. I wonder if the first new shelter is reusing parts from the old Swan Boat dock. It looks very similar.

  3. The gardens within the hub are beautiful - it seems as though they have created this huge space from nothing. I can't even remember what it looked like before! Would be interesting to do a comparison once complete.
