Earth Day Celebration Returning to Busch Gardens Tampa

Guests visiting Busch Gardens Tampa are invited to celebrate the beautiful Earth we all share during Earth Day on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The celebration will be filled with Earth Day-themed animal interactions, keeper talks, games and giveaways throughout the park. Multiple animal enrichment activities will take place at the habitats including elephants, gorillas, tigers, lions, orangutans, and cheetahs. See below on times for each activity.

Animal encounters and activities:
  • Edge of Africa: Lions at 11 a.m.
  • Cheetah Run: Cheetah lure run at 11:30 a.m.
  • Orangutan Outpost: Orangutans at 12:15 p.m.
  • Tiger Trail: Tigers at 12:30 p.m.
  • Myombe Reserve: Gorillas at 2 p.m.
  • Nairobi Walkway: Elephants at 2:30 p.m.
In addition to this special event, this year, Busch Gardens is bringing back the cell phone recycling drive! Bring and recycle an old cell phone and Busch Gardens will give you a free voucher for a kangaroo feed or lorikeet feed (for families with kids under 5).

Cell phone recycling helps gorillas in the wild as it reduces the need to mine for Coltan, metallic ore found mainly in the eastern regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Learn more ways you can help by visiting the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Conservation Fund.
