LEGOLAND to Reopen Old Cypress Gardens Sections

The Orlando Sentinel and other media outlets reported a great news coming from LEGOLAND Florida yesterday afternoon. According to what they have been told (there's no news to be found on LEGOLAND's official website or Facebook and Twitter pages), the park will finally reopen to the public two sections of the famous Cypress Gardens that have been closed to the public since the park reopened as LEGOLAND Florida. Here you are additional information:

The Orlando Sentinel stated that the beautiful Florida-shaped pool (which was made famous by Esther Williams in the 1953 film "Easy to Love.") will be once of the areas that will soon reopen.

In addition to that, the park is also going to reopen the former Oriental Gardens. Here's a photo of this currently-inaccessible area, taken from one of our recent LEGOLAND Florida photo-updates (click here for more Cypress Gardens photos):

LEGOLAND Florida will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony this coming Wednesday (March 5, 2014) to mark the reopening of the Florida-shaped pool and the Oriental Gardens. Of course, remember that the park is closed Tuesday and Wednesday, so the very first day the general public will have the opportunity to see these areas will be next Thursday.

We are definitely looking forward to be able to take a look around these beautiful areas once again in the near future!

  1. It's great they open another bit of the former garden part of the park. I hope they eventually re-open the boat ride they once had, that would be awesome and a reason for me to visit them again.
    Any words on that?

  2. We really hope they will, Otto. Unfortunately, we have not heard anything about that yet.

  3. The photos aren't showing up for me for some reason. I'm not behind a firewall or proxy server or anything. Just a regular Comcast Internet connection. Everything else on the site is working fine.

  4. The photos are showing up now. Not sure if the problem was on your end or Minus.com. Either way, thx!
