Discovering Florida: St. Augustine Pirates (PART 2)

Welcome to PART 2 of this photo-gallery of the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum (PART 1).

Let's continue to take a look around the museum:

If only they would move!:

The next room is actually a pirate's galleon:

In this same area you will also find an audio-centered show (using the same binaural system of the former Disney's Hollywood Studios attraction known as "Sounds Dangerous - Starring Drew Carey"), billed as a Walt Disney Imagineering creation. It may have actually been done by  one of the (former?) Imagineers. It's actually a series of small rooms located at the very end of the boat:

Moving on to another room:

Here you can read of how some of those infamous pirates were executed:

There's even a talking head telling stories (the mouth and the eyes actually move... and it looks creepy):

  1. You are correct in your assumption that the audio show was created by a former Disney Imagineer (Mike West) and a company of former Disney production cast members called IDEAS. Disney always seems to get the credit for anything created by former cast members.
