Discovering Florida: St. Augustine Pirates (PART 3)

Welcome to PART 2 of this photo-gallery of the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum (PART 2).

We will now take a look at the last two themed rooms of this St. Augustine museum:

Here you can take a look at how pirates buried their treasures, and some of their precious goods:

The very last room showcases how pirates are seen in the movies, in our current day and age:

There's even Peter Pan:

...Pirates of the Caribbean...

...and a reference to one of our favorite movies, "HOOK":

...and CUT! That's a wrap!:

In conclusion, we really have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed this great museum. There is a lot you can learn there while also having fun in a highly-themed environment. If you are in the St. Augustine area, we definitely suggest you take a look around this museum. It is a really affordable and entertaining attraction.

That is all for now! We hope you enjoyed this photo-gallery! See you later with more updates and news.

  1. Love these "Discovering Florida" posts - It's great to find out about the smaller attractions away from the theme parks

Much as I love Disney, Universal etc sometimes I just want a break from big parks - St Augustine looks well worth a visit!

  2. Thanks for your comment, Futdonut! We too love the parks, but - like you said- it is nice to enjoy other beautiful places around Florida sometimes.

  3. Thanks for the post! I've passed this museum every time I've been to St Augustine, but had no idea how in depth and well themed it was inside. Thought it was just another cheesy tourist trap.

  4. Do u think you ever will go to the Naples area. We stayed here 20 years ago and really enjoyed ourselves here. Learned a lot of American history.
    Great update as always
