  2. I have seen on your photos, which Kali River Rapids does not have the effect of fog on the rise, someone knows why.
Winter times removes the effect of fog, or is it pure coincidence?

So, Kali opened after its 6 week 2013 refurb. Guess what?the lift mist still doesn't work.

    It's a shame!

  3. Although I'm excited to see the new Avatar area, I'm sad to see Camp Mickey-Minney go. We were there 4 years ago, and my then 6 year old daughter loved singing and dancing with the characters, with the DJ playing music. Would have loved to give my son that experience with the Disney characters as well. Hopefully they just move that somewhere else in the park.

  4. Orlando Theme Park News you need to do more updates on the other 3 parks (plus the magic kingdom) but haven't seen a update on AK in a while. Really wished AVATARland wasn't coming. As a Disney Fan i wished Beastly Kingdome will come back but it most likely won't.
    Anyways good Update!

  6. First of all Yeti was...
after... the Tree of life network was..
Now the lift mist still doesn't work...
I think that Disney has a real problem with the Animal Kingdom...

  7. what is up with Kali River Rapids?

this attraction has never been a great one. It was however "okay" from my memories of when it opened.

unfortunantly, now it's just sad. has anyone ridden it lately?

the almost dense fog that used to be on the lift hill is now over...

everyone remember the large fountain that shot into the air once you arrived at the top of the lift hill?

hasn't been working my past two visits.

also the fire effects seem to be less intense now.

whats going on here? anybody care to give any insight?

  8. The lift mist really transports you to another place by magic...

No mist, no Magic. What happening lately with Disney.

Imagine for a moment that the future train to connect the two parks of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, they break trip screens and guests rather than see a trip to Hogwarts, they see a backstage tour of studies ... sure they would be fixed, immediately

  9. @4th-to-last-Anonymous: We included AVATAr in the title because we mentioned that the current Festival of the Lion King is being moved to make way for this new land. That's about all we can see related to this project.

  10. Avatar is going to be so ridiculously lush and beautiful. Now if only they could fix the rest of the once perfect attractions in the park...

  11. I rode Kali River Rapids a week ago and the fountain that shoots up at the top of the lift hill was working fine.

  12. while i certainly think their putting the infrastructure in place to put SOMETHING new in the area that is currently camp Minnie Mickey, there is no indication thus far that they will follow through with the development. the overwhelmingly negative response from the public and complete silence over the project essentially since the initial announcement almost two years ago (giving priority now to projects like disney springs). leads me to believe they are preparing the land and while doing that formulating a new idea of what to do there, similar to what happened with new fantasyland.
