Animal Kingdom Update: Avatar is Coming (PART 1)

Good day Orlando Theme Park News Readers. Today we have a special weekend photo-update to share with you! We are going to take a look around the beautiful (but still in need of a lot of help!) Disney theme park dedicated to animals and nature in general - Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Let's see:

We'll start with a few random pictures of the real stars of this park - animals:

The landscape of the park is absolutely magnificent:

...and the Tree of Life is undoubtedly still one of the best theme park icons ever created:

Camp Minnie-Mickey will (finally!) close to the public really soon to make way for the new AVATAR Land:

At this moment, there's nothing else to do in this area other than meeting the usual Disney characters and seeing the (still fantastic) Festival of the Lion King show (which is moving anyway). By the way, work on the new Festival of the Lion King theater has started in Africa, even though we didn't take photos of the walls. We were the first to report the official date for the start of this project a few weeks ago:

These seem to be Walt Disney Imagineers talking about the future of the area:

It looked like Joe Rohde was among them; we couldn't see him as he may have been in the middle of the crowd:

Going toward Africa, you certainly get a wonderful view of Expedition Everest:

Nothing new to see here:

Theming (that we seriously like!):

Time to explore the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail for a few minutes:

More theming:

...and more animals:

Careful...

Time to visit the gorillas:

We seriously could not stop laughing at this (pardon the unintended pun):

Let's now hop on one of these Time Rovers... errr, Jeeps... or whatever they are:
