New Fantasyland Grand Opening: Our Photos

As we promised a few days ago, this evening we present you a few photos the OTPN Team took during the Grand Opening day of the beautiful New Fantasyland. Just as a reminder, this special event took place on December 6, 2012 (if you would like to see some official photos of this event, just click on this link):

Walking down Main Street U.S.A.

A huge LED screen was set up in front of the Castle Hub:

Moving on:

It was a pretty crowded event, as you can see:

At this point we moved forward about an inch and a half:

One more inch... and that's it. We had a quite sad view of the stage, unfortunately:

Some beautiful New Fantasyland banners (that may have already been thrown away or sold...):

We would love to have one of those!:

Media set-up:

Checking the stage:

Let the celebrations begin!:

There were a lot of characters on stage during the event:

This was the end of the event:

Notice Mickey's newest themed costume:

See you next year, at the Grand Opening of the much-awaited Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride!:

Another beautiful New Fantasyland banner, this time on the castle itself:

Really beautiful:

A view from the back of the Cinderella Castle:

And we conclude with a panoramic view of the Castle Hub (FULL-SIZE):

And that is all. We will post a video of the full ceremony in the next few days. The quality is poor due to the huge amount of people in front of us, but we still think it would be nice to share it with our readers.

  1. Love the magic kingdom. Can't wait for 7 dwarfs. Quick question, do you think DHS will get carsland

  2. Louis: More and more hints have been given by people "high up on the totem pole" in TWDC that a clone will be coming...most likely to DHS.

IMO: I would love Carsland in WDW if California Adv didn't already have it. An international clone would've been great, but DHS does need SOMETHING. Even though I'm not a huge Star Wars fan ;)
