Fantasyland Update: Skyway Work Continues (Part 2)

Welcome to part 2 of this new Fantasyland update (PART 1 can be found HERE). Let's continue to take a look around the area by stopping first near Prince Eric's Castle (from the Little Mermaid):

Take a look at the beautiful crown that has been installed on the column (near the big entry arches):

The attention to details is great:

The rock-work of the attraction's exterior is almost complete:

Now, let's move on to Storybook Circus:

Dumbo's Circus has now been partially painted yellow:

From the Tomorrowland Speedway:

One of the two queues:

The new Dumbo ride lurks in the corner:

It is really much nicer than the current one:

Beautiful (the ride, not the picture itself... sorry for the blurry photo):

The Great Goofini Coaster:

The older tents now have the complete new interior cover:

Over the walls:

What are all those papers? Projects? Maybe (for a larger picture, CLICK HERE):

Snow White's Scary Adventures is still open, and that's good:

It looks like the Seven Dwarfs Mine shop will be closing soon, though, as the main sign in front of the store has been removed (and it is not likely to come back):

The signs on the two sides are still there:

A look around the small store (since it is leaving):

We've asked around, and according to a source, this store might not even be a store after it closes down. We cannot think of anything else fitting in this cramped space:

We might soon have to say goodbye even to the seasonal Friar's Nook:

All the queue railings have been completely removed. Not a good sign:

And this concludes our new Fantasyland update. Thank you very much for reading.

  1. Those papers are the prints used during construction. They tell the contractors where EVERYTHING needs to go. I'm sure there are way more of them all over the place.

  2. I never, ever noticed the Seven Dwarves Mine Shop's attention to detail. I never noticed the "dirt" ceiling, the "vault" and "jewel" doors... how sad is that! I really need to start looking UP when I go to Disney!

Thanks for the great information and photos!

  3. I really wish they change their mind on Snow White it was and always will be one of those classic Dark Rides Walt Disney thought of in his mind. I really wouldn't mind 2 snow white themed ride.
Or change the roller coaster theme to Alice in wonderland.
the only thing i would happy to replace snow white would be a new Alice in Wonderland ride. WDW needs it
