Wellness Suites Cancelled for the Contemporary Resort

The Wellness Suites that were announced some time ago for Disney's Contemporary Resort have now been officially cancelled. Here you are additional information about this change in the resort's plans:

Advisory ~ Contemporary Resort 14th Floor Plans

The plans for the suites on the 14th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort have been modified. The health and wellness concept and components originally communicated will not be included on that floor or within the suites; however, most of the design concepts previously shown for these suites will still be utilized.

Some renovations planned for the suite include:

• A hard and soft goods refurbishment for the Guest rooms in line with our high-end suite standards 
• A renovation to the concierge lounge, enhancing the overall atmosphere and highlighting the sweeping views of Seven Seas Lagoon
• Enhancements to the hallways and elevator foyer

The renovation of these Guest suites will take place in 2013, coinciding with renovations already planned (e.g. the roof of the resort) to minimize Guest impact. There are also plans for additional improvements to our fitness center at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in 2012.
