Islands Of Adventure: Aggro Circus No More (PART 1)

Welcome to a brand-new Universal's Islands of Adventure update. This week, we have some interesting news coming directly from Toon Lagoon, where a lot of refurbishments and changes are taking place (or should take place...). Let's start our adventure right away:

It wasn't mentioned there, but also Me Ship, The Olive was closed:

The Adventure starts right here:

I love this gag (there are a lot of them in the Port of Entry area. Did you find them all?):

I had never noticed that sign before:

The wait times:

It was a quiet day:

Seuss Landing:

No fire on the statue of the Lost Continent:

Mythos, a bit moldy as usual:

Dragon Challenge, still with trains not dueling:

WE also have a video of the ride:

The busiest ride of the park only had a 10-minute wait. This shows you how great the day was:

Going to Jurassic Park:

The new fence covers have been installed all over the area now:

Triceratops Encounter was... closed:

An expanded fence has been placed between the new ride and Jurassic Park:

They may expand the queue are for the ride:

It is not surprising that these bathrooms are now very empty, as they can barely be seen due to the new walls:

Thank you for reading part 1. It is now time to move to PART 2, that can be found right here.

  1. I applaud you for your first mention of Harry Potter. I like you don't really appreciate the Harry Potter series, but as reporters I think it is important to recognize everything at a theme park wether we like it or not. That is our duty as reporters!

(Except Halloween Horror Nights....we can still ignore that :P )

Also, Did you happen to visit WDW today? It was the 40th anniversary!

  2. When did you show up at the gates of IoA? I guess Popeye & Bluto was closed, so Dudley Do-Right had a pretty massive 45 minute wait because of it. Intriguing. (BTW, do you know anything about any refurbs or changes going into Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges? Just wondering.)

  3. I'm sorry to disappoint you, Anonymous, but I didn't mention him at all. I just wanted to make a point there, saying that the park was really empty, that's all. I have important reasons regarding what I avoid mentioning, and I want to continue to faithful on my beliefs.

Also, I didn't get to go to MK yesterday because I had a very important appointment, but many told me that it was nothing special, unfortunately...

@BJ: Popey is just receiving some love, but there should be no changes to the ride itself. It will look fantastic once it re-opens, but it will be just new paint...

  4. Thanks for the update! I wanted to ask because I'll be heading to IOA in December and I'm worried about the lines. I heard WWOHP is currently adding a new que for Forbidden Journey attraction outside the castle. Are they finished with the construction?
