Islands of Adventure Update - The Triceratops Return

Welcome to a new Islands of Adventure update! This week, we'll take a look around the park, which has reopened the Triceratops Discovery Trail, along with some other smaller locations around the park. Let's see:

The famous Pharos Lighthouse:

A lot of temporary stands have popped up around the park:

Walkaround characters:

IOA's most important store, the Trading Company, has received some minor - but nice - additions:

First, a new "Photo Connect" point has been added:

Also, a new set of themed mannequins have been placed all over the store:

Great additions:

We apologize for the blurry picture:

A look at the wait times:

The "Dining Reservations" booth was open. Unbelievable. We've never seen it open before:

Green Eggs and Ham was - incredibly - open too:

Work has been completed in the "If I Ran the Zoo" water area:

A small boat was strangely circumnavigating Islands of Adventure's central lagoon (and its smaller creeks):

Mythos:

It was extremely busy, as you can see:

There are two new areas where guests can get tickets to enter the new area of IOA. They are located near Sindbad and the Triceratops Encounter:

A better look at the new machines:

They really needed to use them:

A small bird:

That's him again:

I don't think he's fishing... While he's there, why doesn't he do some kind of work to install some kind of fountains to make a nighttime show? That'd be more than welcome:

Triceratops Discovery Trail was open, and it was as great as ever:

It is very, very poorly advertised.

Nelson lives here:

The Triceratops was sneezing and... well, going to the restroom too!:

A look at Captain America's diner, which is rarely open:

One of the reasons why it may be open now is because of the new Captain American movie (and because of the incredible amount of people in the park):

And, that's all, for this IOA update! Thanks a lot for viewing.

  3. Great pictures, but same question as above, are the machines used in the morning to get into the WWOHP?

  4. WOOOOOOOOW.... you need to stamp a ticket to access to HarryPotterland???
Well this is the right prize for one of the best IOA's Island (the amazing Forbidden Journey and the evergreen Dragon Challenge)!

  5. The new machines are used like a FASTPASS. This means that you can choose to just remain in the queue to enter the land (and sometimes it can be long, very, very long) or you can just take this FASTPASS-like ticket and come back at a certain time, as printed on the ticket.

@ Anonymous 2: Thank you! I was thinking the same thing! The foliage looks like a frame of a picture!

  6. Nothing beats getting to the Wizarding World at 7 in the morning on an overcast day and walking through that gate with butterflies in your stomach. That's magic. And also, who agrees it's time for an expansion?
