Epcot Center LIVES ON!
I found a great video of the original Epcot Center, courtesy of the great MARTIN'S VIDEO site (check it out!!! They have sooo many interesting videos from the past and the present!!):
I have no words! There were so many things back there! Now, many of the spaces are empty (Wonders of Life, the old Communicore building, Odyssey) or ruined (Horizon, Imagination)....
But I still love EPCOT! Imagine how it was before though...

ReplyDeleteWow. I remember this EPCOT. This was its heyday. Surprise in the Skies...no "tombstones" at the front of the park...everything operational. I still love it, but it's not the same park. This was when the admission was truly worth every penny--so much to do and so much to see.
ReplyDeleteNow I never saw the "original" Epcot as it was back in the day but I do not understand why everyone on this site constantly bashes the decision to knock down Horizons and build Mission:Space. I think MS is one of the coolest and most unique of rides at in all of Disney's parks. So why was Horizons so good? Haha
ReplyDeleteWell, you have to understand that everybody has different opinions... I am just a bit sad because M:S in my opinion is not a good ride for many reasons, including the fact that makes many people sick, it's only a simulator (while Horizon had hundreds of great Audio-Animatronics) and it's smaller than Horizon.
