Current Legoland status

So, while the Open House was going to open, we decided to take a look at the works that are actually being done at the park. So, let's have a look, shall we?:

The CYPRESS GARDENS sign is still on place!:

A view of the Starliner:

Road works (Legoland officials said that they're building another road for the residents of the area, so they won't get caught into traffic each time they've to go home. That's great!):

Inside the parking lot there are many interesting things...

Water slides' pieces?:

And a family roller-coaster (the small but fun coaster that had the Cypress Gardens name):

Legoland said that they're not going to open the water park in 2011, but that they will reopen it, and the possible date is 2012:

Don't go to the park to apply! IF YOU LOOK FOR A JOB IN LEGOLAND FLORIDA, PLEASE, VISIT LEGOLAND FLORIDA RESORT.COM

Legoland also said that some of the topiaries will stay (not all of them), but that they will be relocated, so that they won't take too much space and that they can fit with the theme:

More road works:

This is going to be HUGE!:

This white wooden coaster is the STARLINER, and as Legoland officials confirmed yesterday, it is NOT staying!

The brown one in the rear, the "Triple Hurricane" is staying, and will be re-themed (a great dinosaur theme!) and will be re-named:

Well, I guess we'll have to say "Bye" to Cypress Gardens...

...and WELCOME, LEGOLAND FLORIDA!!!

And by the way, I'll post again the layout of the park (It's not the final park map, but it gives you an idea of what it will look like):

Thanks once again to Loribelle for the picture!!

  1. I have lived two miles from Cypress Gardens for twenty plus years and hope that Legoland when it opens will be a success and here to stay.
Hope that they will advertise the park more since it is off the beaten path of I-4.
    Good Luck Legoland!
