Islands of Refurbishment and I-Drive

Since very soon the new area will open, IOA is receiving a lot of refurb works...
Let's see some of them!
(if you want to see WWoHP pictures, just scroll down)

Firts of all, some pics of the works on I-4 and International Drive:

Still nothing here!

The new Peabody hotel is coming along...

some photos of Wet 'n' Wild while we were stuck on the road...

Back to IOA!

Works on TOON LAGOON:

Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls are in rehab

Finally, they're working on Dudley's Mountain!! It's so dirty, it really needs to be repainted!
I don't like blurry photos!!

Something's missing here..

Oh, yes, Popeye's statue is being refurbished too!

Toon Lagoon Stadium was closed for the day!!

I've NEVER seen it open!!! Why do they put such a sign?

See? Closed.... That's nothing new. If it said "open...", that would be a great news!

people peeking inside the theater..

That's all! Remember to see also our pics of the WWoHP!
See you tomorrow with a Magic Kingdom update!

  1. What do you think they are refurbishing on dudley do rights? They are probably just cleaning out everything, last time i was on it a year ago, the sides of the flume trail were very dirty and mucky. Hopefully, they will put in a cartoon- related show into that theater that would be great! The only thing i remember ever showing there was some stupid NBC shopping network show that lasted about a month.

  2. I think they're finally cleaning the whole ride, including the mountain that (as I said on the update) was REALLY dirty... it was black...

  3. When they first opened, there was a cartoon cavalcade show in the Toon Lagoon theater. I think 6 people actually saw it closed!

  5. Yeah, it's a shame to see such enormous theatre closed!! What do you mean saying that only six people saw the show?

  6. I mean that the show was closed rather quickly, so only the people that went to IOA during it's initial months or so would've been able to see it. I think it lasted longer than Stitch's Supersonic Celebration at MK.

I thought that the TOON LAGOON stadium was used a lot during the first years of operation...
