Downtown Disney Update: Garage Getting Taller (PART 2)

In part 1 of this update, we checked out the multi-story parking garage, the work that is being done in the West Side area (including the new Starbucks), and a few other sections of this entertainment district. Let's continue to take a look around:


Pleasure Island:





The new restaurants in the former Pleasure Island area are starting to take shape:













Paradiso 37 is in an awkward position at the moment, with all these walls...



The fountains near Raglan Road were turned off:

  1. Maybe I'll be more interested when the construction walls are down. Right now it looks too much like a cityscape that I come to WDW to escape.

  2. Agreed - either do less work at a time, or bite the bullet and close it for a couple of months and work around the clock to get it finished.

  3. Agreed, I'm very sorry to say it, but the enviromment of Down Town Disney looks horrible. But I've faith that is gonna be perfect. Just keep on going a little faster. Greetings Matthew from The Netherlands

  4. We were just there last night and it was disappointing, lots of walls, construction and not much to do. Hopefully it is a better experience once construction is complete - until then I would not recommend a visit to Downtown Disney.
