Islands of Adventure Update: Games Ready (PART 3)

Welcome to PART 3 of this new Islands of Adventure photo-report (PART 2 can be found HERE).

It's time to say goodbye to Mickey continue to take a look around the amazing Jurassic Park themed area:

Rumors say that the former Triceratops Discovery Trail may soon become home to a new family coaster:

That would be great, especially since the current area looks very desolate:

This needs to be addressed. Seriously. Right now:

Entering the Jurassic Park Discovery Center:

Yep, take note of that!:

Some scientists were walking around the second floor:

We have never seen them walking around during the late afternoon hours:

This person looked a lot like John Hammond:

Where's his hat?:

Jumping over to the other side of the park:

Work on the new train station is proceeding very quickly:

According to the very reliable HateToFly, this new structure will consist of "turnstiles (for park-hopping), Express, stand-by split, ticket upgrade center, and stroller swap (it seems like strollers won't be allowed in the train, or at least not the ones rented on-site. Guests may still pick up a new stroller in the other park)":

The train station itself looks massive:

A quick look around The Lost Continent

The sign of the Fire Eaters Grill restaurant has been completely refurbished:

It looks great:

Mythos:

Poseidon's Fury:

Entering Seuss Landing:

Beautiful and colorful land:

We love these signs:

The spinning sign for the Green Eggs and Ham was stationary, but it doesn't matter as the restaurant was closed:

That should be all:

As we exited the park, we noticed that they are now putting up signs warning Guests that Universal Studios Florida will close earlier than usual on certain nights due to an ongoing after-hours event:

We have sadly come to the conclusion of this photo-report. That said, we posted two new updates yesterday. Did you check them out yet? If not, head over to our new Universal Studios update, or enjoy our Magic Kingdom photo-tour! Thank you for following Orlando Theme Park News, and have a great rest of your day!

  1. Is that train station a Harry Potter thing? And what are you saying needs sorting out in that picture? Why is there only a little bit of Harry Potter? I do love this site though, very good pictures!

  2. What do you mean by sorting out? Are you talking about HateToFly's Tweet?

  3. I hope that the King Kong rumor is just a cover for Lord of the Rings. If Harry Potter and LOTR bookend Jurassic Park it will create the best fantasyland.

Will Kong be its own Island?

  4. You know..King Kong could fit perfectly in Jurassic Park. King Kong did live on an island of dinosaurs after all. I don't see any reason to make an entirely new land.
Also I'd personally rather see LOTRs, in Universal Studios. That park really needs some better themed areas, especially with the new London Waterfront almost complete.

  5. Oh, yes. We meant to say that Forbidden Journey showbuilding looks very bad from Jurassic Park, and should be hidden by theming it.

    1. Oh I see. I think it also looks like it could be a jurassic park containment unit!
