Everything You Need to Know About "Cool Kids Summer" Event Coming to Walt Disney World

With kids officially out of school, summer is the perfect time for families to discover even more fun around every corner. While Universal Orlando is getting ready to open an incredible new theme park, Walt Disney World Resort Guests will be able to enjoy the "Cool Kids Summer" event from May 27 through September 1, 2025. As part of this seasonal event, Guests will be able to enjoy new shows, limited-time experiences like family fun zones, more Character encounters, and great deals for the whole family.

MAGIC KINGDOM PARK

• Big Top Bash at Storybook Circus

Step right up to summer fun under the Big Top. Join the DJ ringmaster for a summertime dance party, full of pop-up silliness with Pluto, including stilt walkers and jugglers, with even more hands-on activities inside Big Top Souvenirs!

• Galactic Blast at Tomorrowland

Make your way over to the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage to dance with Stitch at this high-energy DJ party. Head inside Merchant of Venus for an out-of-this world craft inspired by the upcoming Disney-Pixar Film “Elio.”

• Enjoy a New Nighttime Parade Later this Summer

The new nighttime parade, “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away“, is coming to Magic Kingdom later this summer. Stay tuned for more details.

EPCOT 

• GoofyCore at CommuniCore Hall

Playtime gets a Goof-tastic twist. Get ready to dance and play along with Goofy in this immersive experience. Show off your best moves in DJ-led dance parties and join your favorite games with silly – or goofy – twists, like Loopy Limbo and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks.

DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

• Get Animated at Animation Courtyard

Join the fun as Animation Courtyard comes alive with energetic performances by magicians and jump rope performers. “Get animated” with games, crafts and surprise character appearances! Keep the fun going as you join Mickey Mouse and Disney Jr. friends at a lively indoor DJ dance party where little ones can move and groove.

• Enjoy Two New Shows

The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After will debut on May 27, 2025.

DISNEY’S ANIMAL KINGDOM

• Adventure All Around the Park

Get ready to roam, explore, and earn your adventure stripes! With your Adventure Guide in hand, uncover fun surprises and fascinating facts as you journey through the park, spotting amazing animals. You can also unlock a special, limited-time Wilderness Explorers badge and participate in hands-on crafting activities along the way.

• A Celebration Sing-along at Discovery Island

Wrap up your wild day with a musical moment you won’t forget! Join an interactive sing-along with the Dino Institute Intern celebrating all the amazing animals spotted throughout the park – with original songs, playful storytelling, and plenty of chances to join in.
