Walt Disney World Monorail System to Have a Delayed Opening on July 14

Guests visiting Walt Disney World tomorrow morning should keep in mind that the resort's Monorail system will have a delayed opening on Friday, July 14, to accommodate routine maintenance. Disney anticipates that all monorail beams – EPCOT, Resorts, and Express to Magic Kingdom – will be open by approximately 10 a.m. Crews will work on all three beams simultaneously to complete the work as quickly as possible.

During this planned delayed opening, Guests staying at any of the resorts located around the Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake will be able to use boat transportation to reach Magic Kingdom. Disney will also offer bus transportation that will stop at each location along the Resort Monorail beam: The Transportation & Ticket Center, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Magic Kingdom Park, and Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Direct bus service will also connect EPCOT to Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa during that time.
