Walt Disney World Cast Members to Begin Wearing New Nametags Starting May 16, 2023
As previously announced, Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members will soon be wearing nametags featuring an entirely new design. Wearing a Disney nametag is a meaningful tradition and a symbol that connects Cast Members to Guests.
Earlier today, Disney confirmed that these new nametags will begin arriving in Cast Members' mail starting later this week and will be mailed in phases, starting with Guest-facing roles, followed by backstage, administrative, and support areas. The first day to wear these new nametags will be MAY 16, 2023. Cast Members will continue wearing their 50th anniversary nametags until that day (language pins will be available to order through Costuming in late May).
As a side note, Cast Members assigned to work in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Pandora – The World of Avatar will receive the new nametags. However, Cast Members in these areas must wear their themed nametags while in costume in those areas.
