Portions of World Drive Near EPCOT and Magic Kingdom to Close Overnight on May 9 and 11

Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in the coming days should be aware that portions of World Drive will be closed overnight on May 9 and 11, with detours required both nights. Note that impacts are different both nights.

May 9, 2023 (from 9 p.m.-6 a.m.):

Northbound World Drive will be closed near the Walt Disney World welcome sign. Drivers should follow detour signage and the following directions:

• Exit to Osceola Parkway, towards Disney’s Hollywood Studios
• Continue to follow the exit road, staying to the left; do not exit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
• Follow the exit road until it merges into northbound World Drive

May 11, 2023 (from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.):

Southbound World Drive will be closed near the Magic Kingdom auto plaza. Drivers should follow detour signage and the following directions:

• Use the u-turn to access northbound World Drive
• Exit onto Vista Boulevard, towards Fort Wilderness
• Turn right onto Bonnet Creek Parkway, towards Port Orleans
• Turn right onto Epcot Center Drive
• Follow Epcot Center Drive until it merges into southbound World Drive

Note that roadway impacts are subject to change due to operational needs or weather conditions. Please drive safely and follow appropriate roadway signage.
