Walt Disney World to Begin Phased Reopening of Most Areas on September 30

Just a few minutes ago, Jeff Vahle (President of the Walt Disney World Resort) officially confirmed that the Walt Disney World Resort will start reopening in phases starting Friday, September 30. According to the following statement released to Cast Members and the public, most areas of the resort should reopen by the end of the day tomorrow:

"Like many others in Central Florida, we are in the process of assessing the storm’s impact at Vero Beach and across the Walt Disney World property and are working to remove debris. Our theme parks and Disney Springs will remain closed to Guests today. We are currently bringing Cast Members back to get ready for tomorrow. Thanks to all of you for helping to get our site ready to reopen so we can continue to make magic for our Guests. [...] Friday, Sept. 30, we will start a staggered reopening of most operating areas. More details will be coming soon."
