PHOTOS: New Disney Wish Cruise Ship Heading to The Netherlands to Undergo Sea Trials

Disney's newest ship, the Disney Wish, recently bid farewell to the Meyer Werft shipyard on its way to open water for the first time, marking the latest milestone after nearly two years of construction.

During the conveyance, the ship travels at an average speed of approximately 2 knots over a distance of 26 miles through small clearings, locks, bridges and barriers on the Ems River, going from Papenburg to Eemshaven, a seaport in The Netherlands. From there, the ship will undergo sea trials as it makes its final preparations before its voyage across the Atlantic Ocean to Port Canaveral.
