2021 Service Celebration Postponed Due to Inclement Weather at the Magic Kingdom Park

Due to tonight's rainy forecast, executive leaders quickly met and made the very difficult decision to postpone the 2021 Service Celebration (which was already postponed back in 2021 due to the pandemic) that was scheduled to take place at the Magic Kingdom Park.

Given the high probability for rain throughout the evening, some of the one-of-a-kind entertainment and planned surprises created for event participants would be impacted. And, after waiting so long, the Walt Disney World Resort wants to ensure that Cast Members and their Guests have the best time of their lives.

The event was originally going to held at the park tonight (Tuesday, February 8, 2022) as part of a special celebration to honor Cast Members who worked at the Walt Disney World Resort for 10 or more years. The 2021 Service Celebration is currently expected to take place later this year.

Due to the short notice, the Magic Kingdom Park will close to day Guests at 4:30 p.m. as planned.
