Beach Renourishment Project to Impact Disney's Vero Beach Resort During the Month of February
Due to a beach renourishment project that is currently underway, access to the beach adjacent to Disney’s Vero Beach Resort will be closed from February 7 through late February while Indian River County performs this work. Resort Guests will be able to enjoy nearby beaches from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with transportation provided for added convenience.
Guests with an upcoming reservation will receive the following email in the coming days:
"We are delighted you have chosen to stay with us at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort!
In an ongoing effort to conserve and protect our beautiful Florida coast, we would like to inform you of a recently approved beach re-nourishment project that will be taking place during your stay.
Initiated by Indian River County, the project will impact the beach directly adjacent to our Resort. Beach re-nourishment projects are intended to lessen the effects of beach erosion and ensure the shoreline remains healthy. For your safety, access to the beach will be closed while the county performs this important work. You may also hear construction noise and observe the presence of workers. We apologize for any inconvenience.
During this time, Vero Beach Feature Pool and Pirate’s Plunge Pool Slide will be available for your enjoyment. You may also choose to hop on a bike from Eb & Flo’s Rentals or cook up a tasty treat at the barbecue grills. In addition, we invite you to enjoy other local beaches from 9:00am to 6:00pm with transportation provided for your convenience.
