EPCOT Update: Construction Work Continues in Future World and World Showcase (PART 1)

When it first opened to the public, EPCOT Center was undoubtedly one of best theme parks in the world. Thanks to its immersive dark rides, innovative exhibits, and authentic experiences, Guests had an opportunity to learn while also having fun.

Today's EPCOT is a very different place, but it's definitely still an amazing place that's in the midst of a major reimagining project. While the future of some of its proposed additions is currently unknown, there's still a lot going on around the park. Let's take a look around together.

Work continues in the area surrounding the fountain where crews installed the new pylons:

We are definitely excited to see this reimagined area in all its glory:

Spaceship Earth should close relatively soon as more permits were recently filed:

A persistent leak continues to impact the entrance of the attraction. When this happens, Guests are told to use the FastPass+ entrance to avoid being soaked by the small waterfall that forms in front of the Standby entrance:

The demolition of Inventions West continues:

Entering Future World West from the front of the park is a very different experience right now:

Contrary to recent reports, Cast Members still leave at least one empty shell between parties at The Seas with Nemo & Friends:

The monorail track looks very clean:

Future World was very, very quiet yesterday afternoon:

This area was originally supposed to be a larger stroller parking for The Land pavilion. It was later decided to use it as a location for the butterfly exhibit that is present during the Flower & Garden Festival:

The Imagination! pavilion still needs a lot of help:

It's not time to leave yet:

Let's head to Future World East:
