Affection Section Reopening on November 15 at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Much to the delight of Guests (and the goats and sheep that have missed them) the Affection Section petting zoo at Rafiki’s Planet Watch is re-opening on November 15  at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

The area is coming back as part of a continued phased approach to responsibly reopening the Walt Disney World Resort. Each day, Affection Section will admit a limited number of Guests into the petting area to meet with goats and other family-friendly wildlife.

With its reopening, Affection Section is following enhanced safety guidelines based on direction from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Guests are being admitted in small groups and asked to maintain at least six feet of physical distance between parties at all times. Convenient handwashing stations (which were present even before the COVID-19 pandemic began) are available for use upon entry and exit from Affection Section.

So, if you think goats are the G.O.A.T. (the greatest of all time!), catch the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch and share the love with all the animals of Affection Section.
