PHOTOS: New Mickey & Co. Collection Made with Recycled Fiber from Plastic Bottles Now Available

Ten new t-shirts featuring Mickey Mouse and friends launched today on shopDisney.com. The Mickey & Co. apparel line was created from up to 50% REPREVE recycled fiber from plastic bottles collected from the Walt Disney World Resort !

Nancy Gonzales, senior manager, Global Product Strategy, played a major role in creating this collection. She shared that one of the best parts of working on Mickey & Co. was “re-discovering great retro Disney art and validating that our products and characters are truly timeless and forever relevant.”

She even gave a behind-the-scenes look at how the design came together. “We had several creative partners around the world reimagine the Mickey & Co. creative. The line includes actual replica designs as well as newly imagined and inspired art,” she said. “The line looks cohesive and so fun. It’s a reimagined creative point of view combined with recycled materials!”
