I-Ride Trolley Service to Temporarily Suspend Operations Starting March 25, 2020

Earlier today, a representative of I-Drive Trolley officially confirmed that the service will temporarily suspend operations on Wednesday, March 25. Visitors will still be able to catch a trolley until 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24.

Here's the official statement:

As we continue to navigate these uncertain times, the safety & well-being of our customers and employees remains our top priority. To that end, it has been decided that the I-Ride Trolley service will cease operations as of 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24th, until further notice.

Lynx, our local bus transit provider, will continue to operate on a daily basis throughout the I-Drive area. We encourage you to visit their website at GoLynx.com for updates on service.

I-Ride Trolley management deeply regrets any inconvenience or hardship that this may cause its many customers and employees. However, going forward during this public health emergency, I-Ride Trolley management cannot satisfactorily guarantee or maintain the CDC recommended precautions of minimum social distancing or maximum group gathering size limits aboard the trolleys. This decision has been made in the best interest of public health and in support of efforts locally and across the nation to contain the spread of COVID-19 as much as possible.

We are committed to reinstating I-Ride Trolley services when we can ensure a safe environment for our employees and customers.
Sincerely,

Luann Brooks | Executive Director
