Beach Pool Water Play Area Closing for Refurbishment at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The Beach Pool water play area at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is scheduled to close for refurbishment later this month. The work planned includes painting the structure and railings, gel coating the slide, and new flooring.

This work will require the water play area to be closed to Guests from February 10 to March 20, 2020. During that time, the main pool nearby, as well as the leisure pools, will remain open. Guests will also be offered the use of the Disney’s Polynesian Resort’s water play area.

Transportation to and from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is available via golf cart daily. The Lava Pool hours are currently 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Beginning March 15, pool hours will be adjusted to 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
