Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Closing for Short Refurbishment in 2020 at Magic Kingdom

Guests planning on visiting the Magic Kingdom Park next year should keep in mind that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is currently scheduled to be closed for refurbishment from May 4 to May 21, 2020. The attraction is expected to reopen to Guests on May 22, 2020.


While the attraction is expected to receive some enhancements in the near future (including an updated finale), this downtime will be too short to implement any major changes. We will keep you updated.

    I'm very surprised that they haven't had an opportunity to incorporate the finale; I'm sure there was a long refurbishment period a few years ago. Even Disneyland Paris has managed it! ;)
