"Storytime at the Zoo" Event Coming to Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is continuing their partnership with the Orange County Library System to integrate reading with educational outdoor experiences.

Beginning Wednesday, September 12, Storytime at the Zoo is debuting a series of new dates which have changed from its traditional schedule. The thirty-minute event will now be held on the second Wednesday of each month from September through May at 10 a.m.

"Our great teamwork with the Orange County Library System helps us create a fun, interactive learning environment for children and families," said Dawn Danzi, Education Manager at the Zoo. "It's always a big hit, so we're excited to be able to now offer it for nine consecutive months each year."

Storytellers from the Orange County Library System will immerse audiences through books geared towards children under the age of five, followed by an up-close encounter with an animal ambassador from the Zoo.

Presentations will be in the Discovery Courtyard outside the entrance gate of the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens. The event is free to attend and Zoo admission is not included. For a complete list of dates and more information, visit www.centralfloridazoo.org/events.
