Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend Event Details (February 22-25)

The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals returns to Walt Disney World Resort Feb. 22-25. The sold-out race is expected to draw more than 60,000 fans, spectators and runners from around the globe. As one of the largest race weekends geared toward women, the Disney Princess Half Marathon celebrates personal accomplishment while also promoting an active lifestyle.


Featuring princess-themed entertainment and a runDisney Health & Fitness Expo designed with the female runner in mind, this race appeals to women of all ages who want to embrace their inner princess and push their limits. Some princes also join in on the fun.

Weekend Overview:

runDisney Health & Fitness Expo (ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex):
  • Feb. 22 – Noon-8 p.m.
  • Feb. 23 – 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Feb. 24 – 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
runDisney Kids Races (ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex):
  • Feb. 24 – Kids Dashes at 10:30 a.m., Diaper Dash at 12:30 p.m. and One-Mile Run at 1 p.m.
Disney Princess 5K (Epcot):
  • Feb. 23 – 5:30 a.m.
Disney Princess Enchanted 10K (Epcot):
  • Feb. 24 – 5:30 a.m.
Disney Princess Half Marathon (Start/Finish: Epcot):
  • Feb. 25 – 5:30 a.m.
Spectator Viewing:
There will be spectator viewing areas at each race’s start and finish areas.

Host Resorts:
  • ALL Walt Disney World Resorts
  • Shades of Green
  • Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
  • Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
Transportation and Parking:
Transportation has been arranged for participants staying at host resorts.  Buses will be indicated by runDisney signs placed in the front windows.  Please note, transportation is only provided to and from host resorts.  Guests who do not stay at a host resort are responsible for their own transportation to and from race-related events.

Transportation schedule:

Thursday (Expo):
  • Host Resorts to EWWS: 11:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. EWWS to Host Resorts concludes 30 minutes after the expo closes.
Friday (Expo):
  • Host Resorts to EWWS: 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. EWWS to Host Resorts concludes 30 minutes after the expo closes.
Friday (5K):
  • Host Resorts to Epcot: 3:30-5 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 a.m.
Race participants must board a bus to Epcot no later than 4 a.m. to be on time for race start. Transportation will continue throughout the morning for spectators.

Saturday (Expo):
  • Host Resorts to EWWS: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. EWWS to Host Resorts concludes 30 minutes after the expo closes.
Saturday (10K):
  • Host Resorts to/from Epcot: 3:30-5 a.m. and 7-9:30 a.m.
Race participants must board a bus to Epcot no later than 4 a.m. to be on time for race start. Transportation will continue throughout the morning for spectators.

Sunday (Half Marathon):
  • Host Resorts to/from Epcot: 3-5 a.m. and 7-11 a.m.
Monorails will be available only for Guests staying at the Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Contemporary resorts. Race participants must board a bus or monorail to Epcot no later than 3:30 a.m. to be on time for race start. Transportation will continue throughout the morning for spectators.

Road Closures:


runDisney Costumes & Safety Guidelines:
The runDisney costuming guidelines and security procedures reflect the similar standards at Walt Disney World's theme parks and further protect  Guests and Cast Members. While costumed attire may be worn during runDisney events, Guests may not wear costumes that could conceal prohibited items.
