Magic Kingdom Update: Stitch is Gone... For Now (PART 1)

We never get tired of visiting the Magic Kingdom. True, it surely feels like we are in the busiest park in the world (and attraction wait times confirm that), but there's always something new and exciting to see. Even though there are no new attractions under construction, some of the existing attractions are currently being enhanced or refurbished, such as Big Thunder Mountain, Swiss Family TreehouseCarousel of Progress, and more. Take a look around with us.

First of all, the new emergency exit for the monorail platform seems to be done:

Work also continues to extend the queue of the Ferryboat Landing:

It's time to enter the park now:

The recent cold front literally "wiped out" all the clouds from the sky. It looks gorgeous!:

Our first stop will be Tomorrowland:

We really like the new color scheme of the Tomorrowland rockwork:

Stitch's Great Escape now operates seasonally. It is rumored to close for good next year:

the attraction's former holding area is now being used as stroller parking:

The new sign and color scheme of Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress work really well together:

  2. I heard there's a rumor of Stitch's Great Escape being replaced by a ride themed to Wreck-It Ralph. That does seem interesting. I also hope they get rid of the dance party stage. I feel it just doesn't fit.
