Joy and Sadness Coming to Epcot Character Spot in April

Beginning in early April, the Epcot Character Spot will add two new characters from the Disney-Pixar award-winning film, “Inside Out.” Guests will be able to meet Joy and Sadness, two of the Emotions who help guide Riley through life.
Joy and Sadness will join Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Baymax (the latter has been greeting Guests since December) in the newly-expanded Epcot Character Spot, which is slowly taking over the former Innoventions West.

  1. really, the character spot.. these guys would do so much better over in the imagination pavillion.. like gut the figment ride and replace it with an inside out themed ride

  2. Actually I think figment needs to stay at Imagination. Yes, I agree the pavilion as it is today needs to be gutted but brought back to its former glory in an updated form with Figment and the Dreamfinder there...along with an updated Imageworks upstairs. However, I would love to see Disney use the Inside Out characters to bring back the Wonders of Life Pavilion...updated Cranium Command possibly? Rehab or build a new Festival Center where the old unused Odyssey Center is now.

  3. Agree on Figment staying at Imagination. Would love to see disney rewrite the script - do away with Annoying Dr. Dolittle the scientist, bring back what the pavilion is about: Imagination. Miss the paper white room and the tingling sensation the music gave us upon entering.

  4. The original Journey into Imagination was sooooo much better. Proof that new isn't always better. In this case the attraction came out to be a cheaply made update.

  5. I have never seen the old figment ride, but there is nothing stopping them from placing him within a new ride that uses the inside out characters.

the whole idea of just going back to what was there before is horrible and will never work.
