Photos from "World Rhino Day" Event at Busch Gardens

This past Saturday, Busch Gardens Tampa celebrated World Rhino Day with exciting crafts, trivia, rhino artifacts, and plenty of educational activities.
World Rhino Day is an international event that recognizes all five species of rhinoceros, and raises awareness about their critical situation in Africa and Asia. During the event, Guests helped the Busch Gardens Animal Care Team create a larger-than-life paper mache globe with a special treat for the rhinos inside.

Busch Gardens is home to two types of rhinos – white rhinoceros and black rhinoceros. Here you are some photos taken during this special occasion at Busch Gardens Tampa:

The SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund assists translocations of rhinos from high-risk areas, facilitates genetic mapping of rhinos to enhance population management and anti-poaching efforts, expands effectively-managed conservation areas, and combats poaching and wildlife-related crime.
