Orlando Visitors Can Now Call a Taxi Through a New App

Mears Transportation recently launched a new app for taxi service that allows users to reserve a cab and pay their fare right from their smartphones. The new Mears Taxi app makes the process of ordering transportation faster and simpler.
“Our commitment to service excellence is something we take very seriously at Mears,” stated President Paul Mears III. “The Mears Taxi app is a tool for our customers that puts quick, reliable taxi service in the palm of their hands.”

The Mears Taxi smartphone app contains a GPS locator to confirm your exact location and send a taxi immediately or schedule a pickup time.  Once the app is downloaded, customers confirm their location and tap “Now” to order a taxi - it’s that simple.  The customer can see the driver of the assigned vehicle en route to their pickup location, and if they choose to do so, pay with their smartphone as well.

The app works on all Apple and Android smartphones. To download the Mears Taxi app, visit Google Play or the Apple App Store. For additional information about the company, visit www.MearsTaxi.com.

  1. LOL!! Mears just can't handle competition in moving tourists around Orlando. I get that, but this is clearly all about trying to avoid losing business to Uber. I guess the market will determine the winner...
