Old Town Hosting 25th Anniversary of Classic Car Cruise

Get ready to rock around the clock with James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and thousands of fans and fenders as Old Town celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Saturday Nite Classic Car Cruise. There will be an all-day street party June 6 starting at 9 a.m. As America's longest running classic car cruise, Old Town's milestone will be momentous as one very lucky individual will be crowned the 500,000th cruiser to drive the brick streets. But there's more in store.

"We are extremely excited about our 25th Anniversary of the Saturday Nite Classic Car Cruise. The owners of these beautiful classic cars have dedicated their time and efforts into making this historic event possible every week and we couldn't do it without them," said Old Town General Manager, Chris Spicer.  With an anticipated attendance of more than 600 classic cars, many valued at $100,000 each, there will be over $30 million on display at Old Town.

The Greg Warren Band is one of four bands of varying genres performing on the Old Town stage throughout the day. Other entertainment includes 50's-style dance shows, stilt walkers, face painters, cheerleaders, skaters, celebrity look-a-likes, balloon makers, swing dancers and a strolling DooWop group. The cars start rolling in at 9 a.m. and are on display throughout the day. Old Town's 25th Anniversary Car Cruise commences at 8:30 p.m. with the 500,000th car and driver to be honored immediately following the cruise.
