Magic Kingdom Hub Update: New Gates and Fountains

Visiting the Magic Kingdom Park on one of the busiest days of the year is definitely not recommended. That being said, our photographer Alex was brave enough to venture into the park yesterday (December 25, 2014) to check on the current progress of the central hub and the new Main Street U.S.A. bypass. In addition to that, we hope you will enjoy the photos of the massive crowds that covered the streets (while relaxing on your favorite chair at home). Take a look:

Let's begin with a look at the new gate built next to Tony's Town Square (a sit-down restaurant):

The gate is located right next to The Chapeau:

The sea of people we mentioned before:

Time to check the hub work:

Note the new wooden shapes located in the middle of this new area:

Some of these are just bases for the new fountains that will further embellish the area:

More work continues to be done in the rest of this area:

One of the new walkways is really taking shape now:

Even more details can now be seen on the side of the faux bridge:

Moving around the construction zone:

Moving on to the east side of the hub:

The faux bridge built in this section has been completely covered by a tarp:

A new tree was also recently planted next to it:

And that's all for now. Thank you for visiting us, and have a great rest of your day!
