Pangani Forest Exploration Trail's Aviary Reopens

If you plan on visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park in the next few days, you should note that the aviary, research center, and the underwater hippo viewing area on Pangani Forest Exploration Trail have now reopened to Guests (starting from today, November 22, 2014), but will temporarily close again on December 1, 2014 for an unspecified period of time. This closure will be necessary to complete the work that was started to repair bridges in the area.

Be aware of the following modified experiences between November 22-30, 2014:
  • The pond will be filled with water, but there will not be fish in the pond or birds in the aviary.
  • The Wilderness Explorers birding badge will be modified, but will still be distributed.
Once the project will be completed, the park's bird and fish collection will return to the exhibit. The entire area is expected to reopen to Guests in a few weeks. More communication will be shared soon.
