Automatic PhotoPass Association to MagicBands at WDW

Just a few hours ago, the Walt Disney World Resort officially confirmed that all Guests wearing active MagicBands while visiting the parks will now have their attraction photos automatically associated to their My Disney Experience accounts. This means that action will be required on their part, as the Radio-Frequency technology has simplified the process. All unexpired photos are visible, so attraction photos taken within the previous 45 days are included.

In addition, Guests without MagicBands now can associate attraction photos with RF-enabled media (e.g., park ticket, Memory Maker card) via new touch points at the photo preview walls. This functionality was implemented October 28 at Magic Kingdom Park (Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain).

Implementation is scheduled to be complete at Epcot (Test Track Presented by Chevrolet), Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror) and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park (DINOSAUR, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain) by mid November.

Here you are some frequently asked questions about this new, FREE service:

- What if I don’t want my photos to be automatically associated to my account?
All Guests wearing active MagicBands now have their attraction photos automatically associated to their accounts. If you prefer, you can use an RF-enabled card instead of a MagicBand for theme park entry, FastPass+ redemption, manual photo association and other functionality.

- How do I claim an attraction photo using the touch points?
After experiencing a participating attraction, locate your photo on the preview wall. Simply touch your theme park admission ticket to the photo touch point with the monitor displaying your photo.

- How long do I have to claim my photo via the touch points?
Each monitor on the preview wall includes a countdown timer showing the time remaining before it advances to the next photo. If you are unable to claim your photo before the time expires, you may see a Cast Member at the attraction sales counter for assistance.

- Can I claim my photo with a Disney PhotoPass card?
At this time, Disney PhotoPass cards cannot be used to claim photos via the touch points. You can get the photo number from the Cast Member at the preview wall and purchase your photo at the counter.

- When will my photos be associated to my account?
Due to moderation and system processes, photos may take up to 24 hours to become viewable via
your My Disney Experience account.

- Will photo touch points be available at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train?
Photo touch points will not be available at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Guests who experience the
attraction while wearing a MagicBand will have their attraction photo automatically associated to
their account.

- I’m having difficulty locating my photos. What can I do?
Guests needing assistance can contact the Disney PhotoPass Guest Support Team at 407-560-4300 or DisneyPhotoPass_support@DisneyWorld.com.
